With some businesses now re-opening and things slowly going back to how it was, it’s important to bring your A-Game to get more students and/or sell your products and services faster.
If you have some marketing dollars to spare, go ahead and spend them on Facebook awareness ads. Tell people how you’ve prepared your gyms/schools/business to be compliant with the government standards... And most importantly, safe for staff and students.
I talked about how insanely cheap awareness ads are nowadays and you should take advantage of that.

You may have seen a surge of TikTok videos on your Facebook and Instagram feeds,especially during this COVID-19 saga.
But before you tell yourself, "TikTok isn't for me", read this first.
As of today, TikTok has:
already surpassed 2 billion download mark on both iOS and Android combined
has 1.5 billion users and 800 million active monthly users
has an average usage report of 52 minutes spent on TikTok/day
surpassed the likes of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Snapchat in Q3 2019 App Store and Google Play installs
an average engagement rate of 29%

But right now mindset is MORE important than anything.
How you control your thoughts, how you approach fear is everything!
You're watching businesses go out of business, people losing their livelihoods.
I mean, it's a crazy time. One of the best things you can do is being around a group that's supportive and positive, like our tribe masterminds.
We're in there talking to our clients, motivating them, giving them peace of mind, reassuring them, because it's a scary time.
I mean, people can't run their businesses so being scared and anxious are normal reactions.
You can stay scared and anxious or you can take control of your thoughts. Examine your thoughts and process them properly. Really focus on your mindset. If you got people that are negative in your life, it's time to cut them out. I'm not saying you get rid of them completely, but just stop talking to them as much, change the conversation when...

Right now is a perfect time (and I said in my couple podcasts and blog posts) to run awareness ads.
Don't need to worry about running traffic or conversion right now, just get awareness.
Be the one brand people remember when this is over with because all your competitors have turned off their ads.
(I don't see any ads except mine and I just run awareness.)
Let people know you're there, that you're going to be there to help them, you're going to help with their fitness, with their life, with their stress, all that stuff ...
I mean, if you do have a product to sell that can help people, sell it now.
If you have online trainings, online fitness classes, start selling them because the ad costs nowadays are unheard of!
Last week, we talked about having a long-term plan, and things are already starting to change. You've probably seen more positive news by now...
But you know what? One thing's going really insane right now!
Ad costs are getting really dirt cheap!!!
We're getting CPMs* under $2!
What that means is basically to get a thousand people to see an ad is costing less than $2, which is unheard of.
That used to be if you got under 10 bucks, you were happy.
So, I will say this again.
Right now is a great time to go focus on your brand awareness and visibility!
Build your awareness audiences. You don't have to sell anything.
Just keep talking to people, give them tips, things they can do for their health, guidance on nutrition, business, brand, etc.
And then when we get a date and this thing lifts, you need to be ready to go because a lot of people are going to be sitting around moping, other business owners like, "Oh I can't do anything because the economy's bad, and blah blah blah."
Yes, things are bumpy right now!
Most gyms are closed, you can't train anybody.
People are trying to do things online and lot of stop gap measures, but you have to always have a long-term plan.
In 2018 when I gave my keynote speech at Combat Business LIVE New Orleans, I talked about being ready for the next recession, making sure you have that six to 12 months emergency funds put away, lines of credit, all those things.
So if you did that, you're going to be okay.
You just got to play the long game.
Yes, the next two or three months are probably going to suck, but on a 12 to 18 month cycle, it's not going to be that bad. But know that there's going to be a little bit of a bump.
If you didn't get to plan ahead, and you're in a lot of trouble, here are a few things you can do for now:
→stay on top of all the government stuff with the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL),
→paycheck protection program (PPP)
→reach out to your banker,...
~ Staying online during crazy times ~
There's so much going on right now.
A lot of people just want to curl up and disappear and stay off social media- which I sometimes do recommend.
Not consuming a bunch of it could save your sanity.
But as a leader and a business owner, you need to still show up.
You need to be thinking ahead, putting out good content and not just selling things obviously, but going out there and just networking, talking to your students, talking to people that engage in your brand and your groups, on your pages and your email.
Just keep showing up.
This is your chance to show people what you and your business can do especially during these crazy times.
Give out good information, different workout tips, different health tips, different things people can do to pass the time while some people are in lockdowns and are staying at home.
They're going to remember that later on that you were the one that was there and kept giving them information.
How often are you emailing your list?
My guess is not enough.
Emails have to be sent- specially when you're trying to build up your students, your clients, the people that come to your business.
When you're running good marketing campaigns, (say you get 10 leads, five are going to be pretty warm, three pretty hot, two for sure) that leaves you with five out of 10 leads aren't interested yet.
The keyword there was YET.
You have to give them time, get them to know, like and trust you and build that up.
And then it's going to make it much easier for them to come to your school or your business because if you just trying to always get sale, sale, sale, sale, sale, you're going to get X amount and that's it.
BUT if you keep working your list, writing good quality emails that your avatar enjoys, it's going to be much easier to get them to come to the gym eventually.
Some people might've been on your email list for six months, a year, or two years, whatever. Some just take...
We talked about this to kick off the year - one of the biggest things you could do is start building your audiences of your page engagement.
Track your business page to see how much your page is growing, how much engagement you're getting, which posts are getting more engagement.
Is it videos, images, copy, what variable can it be?
You need to be tracking these because as you grow your page engagement, then you can re-target those people and engage with your page and give them different offers, different things, different tips, etc.
Focus on that.
It's very easy to do.
On your Facebook page, you just go to your insights, and see the data from there. You can export the data to a spreadsheet to track your KPI's (or whatever you want to do to make sure you're staying on top of this numbers).
You'll see the better your engagement is on your page, the cheaper your ad costs will be. The more organic leads you'll get, the better reach.
So really focus on that, and then look at the...
If you can't manage $1,000, then more money is not your answer.
Stick with me, and I can be a little slap in the face.Don't take it personally. Think about what you're doing because it's your habits and your plan (or lack of it) that's causing these problems .
I see this all the time.Some people make a bunch of money and then it's gone. People that win the lottery and then they're broke. When you come into big sums of money too fast and you're not ready for it... You're financially not ready for that unless you've planned for it.
Start out small.
When you're broke as hell (I remember when I was so broke) I was still investing in my IRA, putting money away in emergency accounts, health savings accounts, even if it was just a little bit. I was always putting money away, no matter how broke I was. That way, I always knew that I had money in these accounts.
