How To Grow A Following On Facebook And Instagram That You Can Monetize

What’s up, guys? I'm going to give you a big opportunity to partner with me and grow your following really big. So, I'm going to do that at some point and I'm also going to give you three tips on growing your Instagram. I know there's a bunch of stuff that I want to say and it is Monday so my whole brain fog is at a high right now.

I just went live so growing a social media following and I'm going to get into some tips on how you can do that if you want to monetize. But first, let me define what I mean by “if you want to monetize”. You got to be clear if you actually want to make money. You want to use your page for business.

To me personally, this may sound pretty harsh but I would not use social media if I was just like a farmer that lived off the land and I didn't need business. By the way, I would I probably never choose to just work for someone else, that's just me personally. But I guess an alternative of that is kind of like being a self-made person and just like living off the land.

Or you know I wouldn't do social media. I do social media because it lines up with the goals that I have in my life and the value, the legacy that I'm trying to do. I'm trying to grow other people's businesses so they can reach more lives and I can be a coach. I can be a consultant. I feel like I can affect the economy in a way. I feel like I'm a part of that being an entrepreneur. And there's a lot of things why I want to get out there.

I want to see people take more chances, take more risk and live the life that they want. And I think that business is the vehicle for that so that's what I'm trying to do. That's why I use social media because I'm an entrepreneur. Otherwise, I wouldn't do that. I'm using social media to build my businesses to make money. With that money, what I do with it is a different story I guess.

But here's the thing a lot of people are afraid to market themselves on social media. They're afraid to market their business. They're scared to go live. And you know most people know that social media videos where it's at but they're kind of scared. They're scared. And so what I'm going to do is to take that leap and start marketing your business. Because the faster you can do it, the faster you'll start to realize that there are going to be some haters but most people are going to really love you and support what you're doing even if you're not perfect at it.

In the beginning, there are a lot of people that are going to support what you're doing and the feeling of being able to touch so many people with social media is going to be almost addictive to you. What you're going to be addicted to is like actually putting their hands on something and doing some really good work.

So, I urge you to do it because still to this day, I'll lose marketing accounts and marketing deals because I fought the UFC and I got tattoos and I'll lose it. Decide if it's nerdy you know because they're supposed to be better at digital marketing or something. I'm branding myself every day and my company is one of the fastest growing companies in the country but I still get haters.

I still got people that don't understand my brand and what I'm doing now. So, what I wanted to share with you is even though I struggle, I just keep going because I don't care. I don't care anymore. All I care about is hitting my goals and part of that is the value of helping other clients and stuff.

That being said, let me give you some tips on growing a following if you want to monetize. And let me talk about that for a second, monetize. You want to make money. You cannot buy fake followers. I have never bought fake followers. I wouldn't recommend it. It does nothing, it's a vanity number that people can see through.

They'll see the truth because they'll see how many people comment. They just won't, they won't believe it. No one can fake it. You should really try to get people to follow you. What's more important is actually building a business and making money with it or just making people think that you're building the business.

So, never do fake followers. You want to grow a following and I'm going to tell you how you can do that today. The other thing I want to say about monetizing is, you can't just go for anyone. You can't find a cheap way or a quick easy way to grow some followers but none of those people are right for your business. It's not really going to help you. There's someone that I know who has over 6 million followers and I was at like 10,000 just a couple and I'm talking about Instagram.

Instagram alone, this person has 6 million followers, I was at 10,000 about two or three months ago and I've grown almost 18,000 now in just a couple short months because of some strategies and I'll share with you in a minute. But this person who has six million followers does not make as much as we do with Undisputed Marketer and Combat Business, with my companies, and businesses.

The person that owns the page with the six million followers doesn't manage as well as we do because the following doesn't fit to what they're selling perfectly the way that ours do. Does that make sense? So it's not so much about how big it is. The bigger it is, the better it is. I believe I could help this person. It's not like this person isn't doing anything that's why they're not making any money.

They're actually trying a business. They are e-commerce and sell a couple of other different things in advertising. When you're that baby, you can advertise to your page. But for me, what I'm doing is coaching people, running their Instagram accounts and their Facebook. We're running ads on Instagram, Facebook advertising marketing and we're growing people's pages. Things like that.

We're making more with that, with a page. My personal page has less than 18,000 followers and we're making more than someone with 6 million followers. So as I go up and I started, I'm trying to hit 500,000. I'm into this year and I get 500,000 million followers. It's going to be insane because my followers will be targeting. I'll be able to monetize those.

So, the first tip that I have for you when growing a following that you can monetize whether it's on Facebook or Instagram is to give value every single day.

Whenever I make a video like this, I make an offer but do I give value. Am I giving value to someone that is not interested in business? Yes, sometimes I do but most of the time I'm giving value to people who want to start a business. Or an artist who has started a business.

I give value every day. How do I do it? Through live video on Instagram or Facebook, Instagram stories, Facebook stories, even my ads sometimes. My advertisements add value and teach things because there's huge importance in having good content. That keeps people, and it keeps you at the top of their mind.

The second thing is, collaborate with other people that have a big following.

You guys have seen me over the last three or four years since I've been an entrepreneur. In the business game work with a number of people. I'm on their podcast, they’re on my show. We know we do an Instagram side-by-side thing.

We're working together collaborating. There's a number of ways to do this but find influencers, people that you want their followers to follow you and you collaborate with them.

The third way that I'm growing my following right now on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat is with a contest.

This is a huge breakthrough before because I've been doing contests since I've been in the marketing game which has been like good forever. Years and years and years I've been doing a video by the way since 2011. Facebook videos since it came out 2011 first day. Facebook Ads I was running on the first day. Instagram as I was running them but I've been in the game for a while and I've been knowing about contests for a long time.

But lately, I had a big breakthrough. This may be a little bit techie but basically, with advertising and using Facebook and Instagram to post organically or with advertising, the main problem that people are having is it's more expensive or harder to reach as many people as they once did.

So what I'm going to talk about is a contest. I'm giving away things that everybody likes just to get more reach and more awareness. So you're going to see any giveaway vacations, electronics, cash. Those are things that everybody wants. Those contests are going to help me read toward people, get my brand out there which is one of the hardest things to do right now.

That's my third tip.

Number one, give value every day. Number two, collaborate with people who are following like you want, and number three do contest and giveaway awesome stuff that everyone wants. Don't cheap out. And I know those of you that want a direct response, you want to give a free little sample of what you're selling because you want to target the right person.

But that's small thinking. What you should be thinking is everyone should know my name. Everyone should know who we are. That's branding on a bigger scale, on a bigger level. And then you can make an offer to them especially with Instagram.

The name of the game is to get followers more and more followers as targeted as possible, and then make them an offer on your story.

So there are three big tips. I'm going hard with contests by the way if you follow my Instagram page Alan Belcher official I'm about to start a daily contest which I can't give too much information about but it's going to be crazy to me. Cash, vacations every single day.

This isn't my normal motivation Monday talk but hopefully, they've hiked some of you guys up. I will give you this little bit of inspiration that I promise you. Being a fighter was way easier and way more natural for me. I've had a lot of struggle getting to the top of being an entrepreneur and a business owner but I didn't give up. I'm not going to give up anytime soon.
